Haksab ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Haksab quiz and challenge platform (the "Service"), available on our website (haksab.com) and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

• Display name, username, and profile photo
• Email address (when you sign up with Google, Apple, or Facebook)
• Authentication identifiers from sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook)

2.2 Camera (QR Code Scanning)

We request camera access only for scanning QR codes to quickly find and view friends' profiles. We do not record, store, or transmit any camera footage. The camera is used solely to read QR codes in real time. You can decline this permission and add friends through search or invite links instead.

2.3 Game and Usage Data

• Game scores, rankings, and statistics
• Category preferences and play history
• Friend connections, challenges, and head-to-head records
• Referral and invitation activity

2.4 Device and Technical Data

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Push notification tokens (for friend challenges and other alerts)
• IP address and general location (country/city for leaderboards)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To display rankings, leaderboards, and public profiles
• To send push notifications (friend challenges, new followers) when you opt in
• To process season pass and competition payments
• To analyze usage and improve the product
• To prevent fraud and enforce our terms

• Stripe — Payment processing for season pass and competitions
• Paymob — Payment processing in select regions
• Apple App Store / Google Play — In-app purchases

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data in accordance with our deletion process. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics. Transaction records may be retained for legal and tax purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of your data
• Correction — Update inaccurate information in your profile
• Deletion — Delete your account and associated data via Profile → Settings → Delete Account
• Opt-out of marketing — We do not send promotional emails; push notifications can be managed in app settings

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and access controls. Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure with strong security practices.

8. Children

Haksab is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the European Union and the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place where required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
